Mezzanine rack units

Mezzanine rack takes medium-duty or heavy-duty rack as the main part, to use solid steel plate or solid steel checkered plate or perforated plate as the flooring. Single-tier or multi-tier mezzanine can be designed, normally it is 2 or 3 tiers. Stairs, lift platform, hoist, conveyer belt or forklift are used to take goods upstairs. Generally, the load capacity of multi-tier mezzanine is 300kg-1,000kg/sqm. It is widely used for tall warehouses with small goods which is operated manually. Mezzanine can make best use of the warehouse space. It is widely applied to auto parts, 4S stores, light industry and electronics industry.

Mezzanine shelves are a type of shelf system that utilizes the vertical space of a warehouse to increase storage area by building two or more layers of platforms. It is suitable for manual picking and light and medium-sized cargo storage, and is commonly found in e-commerce, electronics, auto parts and other industries.

1. Structure and types of mezzanine shelves

(1) Basic structure

Support structure:
Columns: Made of high-quality steel (such as Q235) to support the entire platform.
Beams/floor slabs: Steel plates, wooden boards or steel grilles can be used to carry goods and personnel.
Stairs/ladders: Connect the upper and lower floors and must comply with safety regulations (such as an inclination angle of ≤45°).
Guardrails: Prevent people or goods from falling, usually ≥1m high.
Optional accessories: lifts, slides, lighting systems, etc.
